San Diego

Our trip to San Diego was so much fun! Everyone was looking forward to Kassidy and Derek tying the knot! Our unexpected luxurious hotel room was quite the commodity...TJ decided that with our giant see-through shower in the middle of the room, he could pretend to be Rocky Balboa getting ready for a fight once the whole room steamed up! Boys!
From our arrival to the BIG day for our friends, it was a trip that we'll always remember!

Starting our Summer

What would the summer be like without baseball? As the summer and the O's season began, we were sure to go to our first game.

We also kicked things off at home with the Air Show. My brother and his family met with me and we were able to visit with TJ while he was working.

All over the map!

It's been too long since my last blog. Here I sit in Utah, at my sister's house on a warm Sunday evening and I couldn't help but pull the laptop out and of course catch up on some much needed blogging.

T.J. and I have literally been all over the map! At the end of May we went to San Diego for my friend's wedding and then headed over to Hawaii and were able to visit my sister. On Father's day weekend we went down to South Carolina and then hopped over to Atlanta and saw my parents and my brother with his family. Then, I was the lucky girl (ha, ha) who got to go to girls camp with our Stake in Maryland. Although I am not a camper (never have been and sadly for T.J., never will be) I still had a lot of fun with the girls and stayed in the beautiful area of Cunningham Falls close to the Pennsylvania border. T.J. was a trooper and helped all of us to clean up and take down tents on the 4th of July.

Now we are in Utah and were able to see my niece, Londyn baptized and confirmed on Saturday and my nephew, Turner blessed this morning. Tomorrow morning we fly back to Maryland and then jump in the car to head down to Holden Beach to spend the week with T.J.'s family. I honestly feel like we've been running around (and flying around) from place to place but we've been so happy to be with each other and of course see so many friends and family!

I promise to put some pictures up when all is said and done...most likely when we get home in a week or so.

Together

This past weekend, TJ and I had the chance to be in Pennsylvania and watch/play with my niece and nephew while their parents were out of town. Although during the week I stressed about getting them to school, picking them up on time, and making it to piano lesson...we made it through all of that and topped off the week with lots of fun to include: bowling in Jersey, winning new toy animals, playing "mannequin" within store display windows at the mall, practicing dance moves at the arcade, seeing the Disney movie, "Race to Witch Mountain", and singing to High School Musical on the Wii.

My Favorite

Brantley: Hey Scott, I have special magical powers where I can move things with my mind.
Scott: Oh yah, well move this (pointing to his toy dog).
Brantley: You don't understand, I can only move certain things.
Scott: Like what?
Brantley: Like split peas.

Thanks Again

I want to thank TJ's parents, sister and other family members for planning a "Wedding Party, Part II" for all of those who couldn't make it to our wedding in December. TJ's Dad did a great job finishing the basement in order to have it ready for the party. The pictures were so thoughtful and all of the food and cakes were absolutely yummy. Having so many family members support us and share the time with us made for a very special night. Thank you Joan and Tom for being such great hosts to a successful family party (and for helping us get our keys when we were locked out of our home so we could make it)! We love you!

Mug Shots

Taking pictures of himself with Lucy, was TJ's (second) idea of fun after playing in the snow (which was his first idea).

Snow Day

We know that April showers brings May flowers, but what does March bring? A snow day! There's nothing like waking up to a fresh blanket of white on the ground! I got into my winter best...snowboard pants, coat and beanie and headed outside with TJ and Lucy to capture the moment. Let's just say that the shoveling didn't last too long. See for yourself.

Fondue Fun

We had a great Valentine's weekend which started off on Friday night, celebrating my brothers birthday at The Melting Pot.

Happy Birthday Josh!

Rate Our Space

One of our favorite networks is HGTV which seems to inspire, sometimes irritate, but always engage TJ and I into some kind of discussion on the highs and lows of the shows we watch. So, being inspired by all of the DIY, we've been working on our new home. It's a work in progress, but we're pretty happy with the outcome. What do you think?

Surgery

The month of February started off rough when our dog got into a ruckus with a "possum" in our back yard. She and TJ both ended up needing oral surgery. Luckily, TJ's surgery had nothing to do with the "possum". Here they are both recuperating.

Our Wedding

We got engaged this past September in D.C. and were married right before Christmas in South Carolina. We have to thank our family and friends for their support and love. Without them being there, we wouldn't have had quite as much fun.
